One of the more significant opportunities Kai-Viti had to assist our community was during Cyclone Mick. This cyclone (or hurricane) was the most powerful one to hit Fiji in recent years. It knocked out power to our part of the island for nearly a week, which left many without the ability to pump clean water to their villages. We rented generators to power our bottling facility and opened it up to the public. We invited our neighbors to help themselves to our water and also hired a water delivery truck to deliver our water to local villages.
